Safeguarding Children

Goat Lees Primary School is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for children, staff and visitors and promoting a climate where children and adults will feel confident about sharing any concerns which they may have about their own safety or the well-being of others. Schools play a vital role in safeguarding children therefore we have procedures in place for a wide range of issues including child protection, e-safety, visits and risk assessments, allegations of abuse, information sharing and medical needs. You will find a copy of our CP and Safeguarding policy and the e-safety policy in the policy section. Please take the time to read our policies and do not hesitate to contact the school should you have any questions.

It also means that we have staff members who are specifically trained and nominated as the Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) within school.

Lead DSL: Ms T Adams (Headteacher)

DSL: Mrs A de Roeck (Deputy Headteacher)

DSL: Mrs Florbela Martinho (FLO)

DSL: Miss Alison Crockford (SENCo)

Reporting a Concern
The team regularly meet and review all concerns that are currently ongoing and discuss any new referrals from staff and parents. If you have any concerns about the welfare of any child in school, then please do not hesitate to come in and speak to any member of the team.

We are an Operation Encompass School.
This means we receive notifications from the Police if they have responded to the home of one of our children for domestic abuse. This allows us to better support the children and family involved.
